As I write another huricane is coming to New Orleans.
Right now, they’re packing up their belongings
preparing to leave their homes for no one knows
how long.
Their minds are filled with questions like
where they’re going to sleep, what they’ll
eat, what’s going to happen to their kid’s
schools…
One thing the citizens of New Orleans can count
on is that while they’re completely preoccupied and
unable to defend themselves, the media slander machine
led by Fox News will be kicking them when they’re
down - just like they did three years ago.
“They’re freeloaders. They’re corrupt. They
shouldn’t live there etc.”
Anything to cover the basic fact that the US
has abandoned its citizens, its infrastructure,
and even its future in a mad power grab
overseas that is sucking up hundreds of billions
of dollars while basic services at home go begging.
Make no mistake…New Orleans is ground zero
for the US.
Your city is next.
If we don’t draw a line in the sand here and now
and insist that the government take responsibility
for its failed levees and other infrastructure,
you might has well start practicing your goose step.
Because that’s the next logical stop for the
trajectory we’re on.
How much more contempt does the government have
to show for its citizens to make it any clearer?
Camille Claudel was a genius woman sculptor with mental problems in a world that did not accept or understand any of that.
She lived in Rodin’s shadow, a man of great stature.
Her brother and mother condemned her to an insane asylum for 30 years until her death despite the repeated claims of the doctors that she should not be interned.
Her work is powerful, something that her society could not deal with.
She had a bum rap.
In the ideal world her power as an artist would not be at odds with being a woman.
In an ideal world her mental illness would be treated.
In an ideal world she would live a long and creative life, loved and appreciated for her talents.
Life unfortunately is not always ideal.
Maybe Buddha had it right when he said happiness is not the goal. The goal is freedom from both happiness and pain. Once you are free from that roller coaster you are empty and the universe fills your vessel.
Do you remember when people discovered that ulcers were actually microbes in the stomach? Stomach ulcers are no longer the threat they were. So simple.
Here is another simple idea: cancer is a fungus. Treat it like a fungus and its gone. The treatment? Baking soda. Hmm….. too simple?
Take a look for yourself:
On another note, why would such a simple solution elude millions of doctors? The pessimistic view is that it has to do with money. Cancer treatment is an incredibly profitable business. And since cancer is a big business it might not be in everyone’s interest to allow cheap and easy cures:
Yeast, fungus, this is the cause of so much pain in our body, from depression, skin problems, and all sorts of illness, possibly even cancer.
Did you know ant eaters make relatively good pets? Thats what I hear.
Not that I don’t think having pets is slavery. Why is it not ok to own another person but it is ok to own a dog? Oh, I forgot, humans are superior. Bullshit. And anyone who argues that dogs are part of the family never saw the bond that is made between a white child and its slave nurse maid.
I don’t know. It’s not like pets are disappearing any time soon so I’m raging against the wind. We only just got rid of slavery in the law books. In practice of course it is still big business. Did you know you can buy a child for about $300US in Haiti? Thats only a couple hours away from my home in Brooklyn.
And we’re not talking adoption by two loving parents. We’re talking do whatever you want to the child because you own it. Most of them end up being slaves to men: sex and house chores.
Anyway, ant eaters don’t give a shit what the superior race does.
Here are some of the most amazing examples of genius that I have ever seen.
The first is about Stephen Wiltshire, an autistic man with photographic memory. Whatch the clips and listen to him speak afterwards.
He draws Rome after seeing it for 45 minutes.
He draws Tokyo after seeing it for an hour or so.
Listening to him without knowing his genius I might think he is a sweet but dimwitted guy. He can barely talk. How many “dim witted” people exist in this world who have not been recognized as genius????
Here is another guy Danniel Temmet who memorized Icelandic in one week.
Kim Peek - living google, the dark side of the moon, the real rain man. This guy is nuts!! A total wacko! And I love him for it. Don’t trust anyone who appears normal. Their wackiness is being suppressed and will eventually either hurt them or somebody else. Let the wackiness out and the energy flows naturally. Check out Kim’s dad, there is a caring genius. Here is movie 1 out of 5 on Kim. The others are on utube.
Here is Alonzo Clemens, savant with sculpture.
I think that every single human on this planet has genius to contribute. Even people who are classified as vegetables. It is not them but the rest of us who are too dim witted to see their genius. And by genius I don’t just mean the mind. A vegetable person’s body might develop a new strain of virus resistance that is passed on to the doctor without anyone even knowing. WHO KNOWS what goes on when we are watching TV??
It is not that we are all stupid, it is that we are not built to know everything. So the vast majority of people will go unrecognized. And that is ok.
THATS NOT THE POINT. The point is that we need to be open to the fact that we don’t know it all. We need to understand that all life is valuable despite appearances from our limited perspective to the contrary. Or the reverse. Maybe some life that appears valuable to us needs to die….
THE POINT IS THAT WE NEED THE HUMILITY OF KNOWING WE DON”T KNOW IT ALL.
Walmart is anti-union. I am anti-union……but I don’t support Walmart. I’m anti-union because I wouldn’t be able to make a living if I had to pay my workers union wages. I simply wouldn’t be able to hire them. So we have this agreement that a non-union job is better than no job. For me a non-union company is better than no company. I look forward to the day when I can pay my workers union pay.
I still wouldn’t work with the union, though. Unions are needed if there is a breakdown of communication between boss and worker. As long as boss and worker are communicating openly and honestly with each others mutual interests in mind then I don’t think a union is needed. I suspect this is only possible if the company stays small. If there are thousands of workers then a union makes sense.
Walmart makes more money than they know what to do with. Come on! They can afford to pay better wages and treat their workers with more respect. Walmart is crap.
