I’ve read on several sites now that a lot of Chinese products imported to the US contain a potentially fatal toxin called Melamine.
The products all contain milk powder: instant coffee, chocolates, baby formula, pastries…
Melamine is toxic and causes damage to the kidneys. Children are more susceptible.
Apparently all countries have pulled these products from the store shelves and the US is the only one who hasn’t done so yet. [INSERT YOUR OWN CONSPIRACY THEORY HERE].
Check the ingredients for any mild derivative and check to see if it was made in China. If yes then throw it away.

Below is an article outlining the return of an army brigade from Iraq to the US. It is an ominous article pointing out that US military presence in Iraq is stretched thin and thus there must be an important reason to take valuable troops away and BACK to the US.
Some speculations:
A terrorist attack that would allow Bush to impose martial law and usher in McPain as president and attack Iran.
Public unrest caused by continuing financial collapse and fraud that would allow Bush to impose martial law and usher in McPain as president and attack Iran.
A natural disaster such as an earthquake or flood that would allow Bush to impose martial law and usher in McPain as president and attack Iran.
[insert your conspiracy here] that would allow Bush to impose martial law and usher in McPain as president and attack Iran.
Hmmm….strange how the outcome is always the same….
A lot of thought has been circulating lately about the possibility of major disruptive events occurring in the US prior to the election — an “October Surprise,” perhaps. Some sources single out October 7th or thereabouts as a key date. The sudden redeployment of a US Army brigade (a “brigade = roughly 4000-5000 troops) from Iraq to “homeland” duty starting October 1st has given additional impetus to these rumors.
Does the administration know something we don’t? And if so, how do they know it?
Theories abound, but who knows for sure? One thing is for sure: out of all my years on Earth these past couple days have smelled the most of impending doom than any other time. Is this the beginning of the end? I guess we’ll find out one way or another.
———————–
Pre-election Militarization of the North American Homeland. US Combat Troops in Iraq repatriated to “help with civil unrest”
The Army Times reports that the 3rd Infantry’s 1st Brigade Combat Team is returning from Iraq to defend the Homeland, as “an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.” The BCT unit has been attached to US Army North, the Army’s component of US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). (See Gina Cavallaro, Brigade homeland tours start Oct. 1, Army Times, September 8, 2008).
“Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
It is not the first time an active-duty unit has been tapped to help at home. …
But this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.
After 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one.
The command is at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo., but the soldiers with 1st BCT, who returned in April after 15 months in Iraq, will operate out of their home post at Fort Stewart, Ga.,
…
The 1st of the 3rd is still scheduled to deploy to either Iraq or Afghanistan in early 2010, which means the soldiers will have been home a minimum of 20 months by the time they ship out.
In the meantime, they’ll learn new skills, use some of the ones they acquired in the war zone and more than likely will not be shot at while doing any of it. (ibid)
The BCT is an army combat unit designed to confront an enemy within a war theater.
With US forces overstretched in Iraq, why would the Pentagon decide to undertake this redeployment within the USA, barely one month before the presidential elections?
The new mission of the 1st Brigade on US soil is to participate in “defense” efforts as well as provide “support to civilian authorities”.
What is significant in this redeployment of a US infantry unit is the presumption that North America could, in the case of a national emergency, constitute a “war theater” thereby justifying the deployment of combat units.
The new skills to be imparted consist in training 1st BCT in repressing civil unrest, a task normally assumed by civilian law enforcement.
What we are dealing with is a militarization of civilian police activities in derogation of the Posse Comitatus Act.
The prevailing FEMA emergency procedures envisage the enactment of martial law in the case of a terrorist attack. The 1st BCT and other combat units would be called upon to perform specific military functions:
They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.
Training for homeland scenarios has already begun at Fort Stewart and includes specialty tasks such as knowing how to use the “jaws of life” to extract a person from a mangled vehicle; extra medical training for a CBRNE incident; and working with U.S. Forestry Service experts on how to go in with chainsaws and cut and clear trees to clear a road or area.
The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.
“It’s a new modular package of nonlethal capabilities that they’re fielding. They’ve been using pieces of it in Iraq, but this is the first time that these modules were consolidated and this package fielded, and because of this mission we’re undertaking we were the first to get it.”
The package includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and, beanbag bullets.
Civil unrest resulting from from the financial meltdown is a distinct possibility, given the broad impacts of financial collapse on lifelong savings, pension funds, homeownership, etc.
The timing of this planned militarization is crucial: how will it affect the presidential elections scheduled for Tuesday November 4.
The brigade in its domestic homeland activities will be designated as the Consequence Management Response Force ( CCMRF) (pronounced “sea-smurf”).
What ” Consequences” are being envisaged?
In a conference held under NorthCom last February, the mission of CCMRFF was defined as follows;
“How to protect communities from terrorist and biological attacks topped the agenda last week for more than 100 service members and civilians gathered at Joint Task Force Civil Support headquarters at Fort Monroe, Va.
The U.S. Northern Command Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High-Yield Explosive Commanders’ Conference, held Feb. 21-23, brought JTF-CS subordinate task force and unit commanders here to discuss common concerns regarding operational requirements of the CBRNE Consequence Management mission and to begin preparations for Exercise Ardent Sentry 2007.
“We’re giving operationally focused briefs to our CCMRF ( CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force) units to help them prepare and successfully deploy for a CBRNE mission in the continental United States, its territories and possessions,” said JTF-CS Current Operations Specialist Hawley Waterman, who helped organized the conference. “This is also an opportunity to get acquainted and establish better relationships with (subordinate commanders).”(NorthCom, March 2007)
What is envisaged is the possibility of a (false flag) terrorist attack on America, which could be used as a justification for retaliatory or preemptive military action overseas (e.g. Iran) as well actions on the domestic front. The ultimate objective of this deployment of 1st BCT is to apply combat experience in the Homeland:
“I can’t think of a more noble mission than this,” said Cloutier, who took command in July. “We’ve been all over the world during this time of conflict, but now our mission is to take care of citizens at home … and depending on where an event occurred, you’re going home to take care of your home town, your loved ones.”
While soldiers’ combat training is applicable, he said, some nuances don’t apply.
The operation officially has an emergency mandate to “help American citizens on American soil, to save lives, provide critical life support, help clear debris”, but it also implies the running of military style operations. :in fact it would appear that the emergency tasks helping civilians is a cover-up. This is a combat unit, which is trained and equipped to kill people:
Some brigade elements will be on call around the clock, during which time they’ll do their regular marksmanship, gunnery and other deployment training. That’s because the unit will continue to train and reset for the next deployment, even as it serves in its CCMRF mission.
Should personnel be needed at an earthquake in California, for example, all or part of the brigade could be scrambled there, depending on the extent of the need and the specialties involved.
Other branches included The active Army’s new dwell-time mission is part of a NorthCom and DOD response package.
Active-duty soldiers will be part of a force that includes elements from other military branches and dedicated National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Teams.
A final mission rehearsal exercise is scheduled for mid-September at Fort Stewart and will be run by Joint Task Force Civil Support, a unit based out of Fort Monroe, Va., that will coordinate and evaluate the interservice event.
In addition to 1st BCT, other Army units will take part in the two-week training exercise, including elements of the 1st Medical Brigade out of Fort Hood, Texas, and the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade from Fort Bragg, N.C.
There also will be Air Force engineer and medical units, the Marine Corps Chemical, Biological Initial Reaction Force, a Navy weather team and members of the Defense Logistics Agency and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
One of the things Vogler said they’ll be looking at is communications capabilities between the services.
“It is a concern, and we’re trying to check that and one of the ways we do that is by having these sorts of exercises. Leading up to this, we are going to rehearse and set up some of the communications systems to make sure we have interoperability,” he said.
A national emergency could be triggered. “[H]orrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive [attack]” or a so-called CBRNE type scenario. One assumes that this is some form of domestic attack, allegedly by terrorists.
But at the same time, the Bush administration may be seeking a justification to establish martial law and intervene militarily within the USA.
“I don’t know what America’s overall plan is — I just know that 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there are soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines that are standing by to come and help if they’re called,” Cloutier said. “It makes me feel good as an American to know that my country has dedicated a force to come in and help the people at home.” (Army Times, op cit , emphasis added)
“This type of planning and coordination and training is a priority both in our headquarters and at NORTHCOM, as we understand our responsibilities to be ready should the requirement arise, God forbid,” (Army News Service Sept 15m 2008)
The deployment of an Army combat unit on US territory, with a mission to curb “social unrest” constitutes a dangerous historical precedent. It creates a new legitimacy, namely that combat units can integrate civlivan law enforcement functions and that this comes to be accepted both by the US Congress and the American public.
It should also be under that the combat units repatriated from Iraq to defend the Homeland will be replaced by mercenary forces.
Slave nation
An honest and complete history of the United States would include the fact that its economy, especially in the South, was addicted to slavery…
And that slavery continued in the South protected by local laws, law enforcement, courts and judges through 1945 (with occasional episodes afterward.)
Amazingly, one of the primary beneficiaries of this period of Post-Emancipation neo-slavery was U.S. Steel.

Today, people charged with petty drug crimes do hard time, work for a few cents an hour while in prison, and have their labor leased to Fortune 500 corporations.
And the US is building news prisons every day.
Little known fact: The US has a higher percentage of its citizens in prison than any other country on earth including Russia and China.

My Note: I would vote for pretty much any black person to be president. They would have to be really, really terrible for me not to vote for them. This is simply because blacks have had such a bum rap for so many years. Until there is some sort of equality we will continue to live in a stunted society. Even Condoliza Rice, who I can’t stand, I give her credit purely based on her skin color.
Call it reverse racism or affirmative action but I do think that a pro minority attitude will speed up the equalization of our society. When I mean minority I mean for the most part people who have had the financial brunt, of which the blacks and Indians fared the worst and continue to fare the worst.
I am infuriated by the current obsession to “bail out” the financial sector with huge amounts of money under the pretense that it will avoid a financial catastrophe. It will cause some belt tightening certainly. It might even restructure the whole financial market.
But it is a gross misappropriation of funds and shows how racist and classist our society continues to be. Never have I seen Bush so concerned for the welfare of others. OMG! CEO’s risk losing their jobs! White collar workers might have to take a pay break! The Horror!
Meanwhile the majority of America continues to struggle, like they done since the constitution. Lets face it, our so called democratic free market society might not be so great! It is great for a select few. Good for some. And pretty crappy for many.
The basic problem here is that humans have yet to find a societal structure that benefits the majority. From kingdoms to communism, the basic top down structure always seems to take over where you have an elite few living off the backs of the rest.
I increasingly think Anarchism is the best arrangement. Not the Anarchism of Hollywood scare mongers but the Anarchism of well meaning intelligent, mature people. If you really look at the theories of Anarchism you will find that a lot of them you practice already and the rest you would practice if you didn’t have stupid rules imposed on you that treat you like a child.Turistas on dvd
Have you ever heard of a “bust out.” It is a scam to make money.
“The scam works as follows: an organized crime group takes over a business, borrows as much as it can in the business’ name, fails to pay vendors and then disappears with all the cash.
The Bush family and its associates in organized crime and the CIA have figured out how to run this scam on a multi-hundred billion dollar level using the entire US banking system as its playground.”
Brasscheck.tv
The three largest bust outs in history:
The so-called “Savings and Loan Crisis” of the late 80s
The so-called “Tech Bubble” of the late 90s
The so-called “Credit Crisis” of today
How does it work?
“Bankers” trade some widget amongst themselves. The widget has no value but the back and forth trading gives it value. The widget could be Junk bonds, internet stocks, or in the case of today, sub prime mortgages. Others are brought into the game and sooner or later everyone is buying the widgets in a frenzy.
But eventually the widget has to be redeemed. Eventually you have to take your tokens to the counter and exchange them for real money. But like the US dollar that is no longer backed by gold, the widgets have no real value except for the perceived value. So when you try to redeem them you get nothing. And the whole game falls apart.
By then a lot of people have made hugs profits on the pyramid scheme.
But the the real pay day is still to come.
The US government, “in the interest of the people and the health of the economy”, takes tax payer money and “bails out” the “ailing” companies. These companies are run by real people. The “bail out” is real money from real tax payers that goes into the pockets of real people. These are the same real people who made huge profits selling empty widgets.
So not only are they already incredibly well off, but now they get even more money.
The whole process is a two tiered scam of moving money from many to a few. And the government, which is supposed to look after its constituents, acts as the middle man to collect the money from the people in the form of taxes and pass it onto these crooks under the guise of a “bail out”.
Is there a mortgage crisis? Yes! We have all bought into the real estate hype. We have all borrowed money in the form of equity from houses whose value is based on the over zealous perception of all of our fantasies. Is the house really worth that much? It is if we all say so….but it isn’t worth much if you can’t pay the mortgage and nobody can buy it. And that is where we are at now.
So now these financial institutions need to be bailed out because if they aren’t the economy will fall. Lets refrase that: The institutions, which are based on empty widgets, will go out of business. If they go out of business apparently the rest of us who service the people who run those institution will not have wealthy clients any more and we will hurt as well.
But wait a minute. It is a whole house of cards. What are we bailing out? Businesses that trade empty widgets. They should be put out of business. We shouldn’t be serving these people anyway. Our economy should be based on more solid interactions. Maybe some people won’t get outrageously wealthy. But the rest of us will have a more fulfilling economy.
But no, the Bush and Co. crooks are rushing to “bail out” their crook friends. I read in the NY times today that the number is 700 Billion. His package is swift and efficient. The proposal is less than three pages long. It gives the Treasury, supposedly an institution that looks after the people, total control to buy and sell the mortgages as it wishes. Using out money!!!
To give a little perspective. When Katrina hit New Orleans the aid package was slow and inefficient. From my recollection it was around 60 billion, less than one tenth the package Bush wants to give Wall Street. Thats probably the difference between the average income between a New Orleans resident and a financial person on wall street. i.e. A New Orleans resident might make $20,000 a year and the average Wall Street person might make $200,000 per year.
But New Orleans has very few Bush friends. Him and his company have very little to gain by helping New Orleans.
But “bailing out” the golden It is a total fucking scam! It is a scam to pass even more little people money to the crooks of wall street.
The economy is high on empty widgets! It does not belong that high. It is artificial.
And another thing: what crisis? I had the privilege of going to a soiree this week in Manhattan where a small group of influential people got together to network. Among them was a high ranking director of Morgan Stanley.
He stated that Morgan Stanley is far from hurting financially. It has billions in cash reserves. Hmmm…. what crisis? He didn’t see one. He says that whats going on now is just a move to create larger more international banks. He says that eventually there will be just a few very large international banks….
I didn’t share with him my opinion on the whole thing because I am admittedly a total peon in financial knowledge and would come across as some conspiracy guy (which I am, but he sees conspiracy theories as stupid where I see them as worth looking into to see if they might have truth).
His opinions are based on seeing the financial numbers of the economy. My opinions are based on my personal common sense and what I gleam from alternative news sources (I only read the NY times when my rich neighbor throws it out unread). So we differ in perspective.
I’m not judging here. I prefer my perspective despite the power his perspective still holds in the world as it is now. I am looking into the “what if” as an idealist. He is looking into how to make himself and his company billions. Both powerful sights to set on.
I’ve gone off a bit. Main Point: the bail out is a scam. Why are we bailing out gold cuff link guys who already made billions on our backs? Because the government is a facade to falsely act in our favor while passing money from us (the masses who are not billionaires) to the powerful and already rich.
It is repeated over and over. Look at the wars Bush and Co. create so that they can justify giving our money to their private institutions (arms makers to blow it all up then contractors to build it back again in an ongoing circle of carnage and stupidity). But that’s another story….
We are watching a BUST OUT of our nation! Bush and Co. has taken over the United States and is using it as their own company to borrow money in our name (we owe almost $11 TRILLION and counting). They get the money. But we have to pay it back.
Remember Brasscheck.TV’s definition of a Bust Out:
“an organized crime group takes over a business, borrows as much as it can in the business’ name, fails to pay vendors and then disappears with all the cash.”
Our country is being run into the ground by crooks and criminals. Bush may be the most unpopular president in history but do you think he cares? He has successfully made billions for his people. He is the most popular president in history for the elite. And that is who feeds him. We are being swindled in broad daylight. Like lambs we watch as the wolves run around us.Road House filmLoaded hd
Chances are you have already heard something
about who anarchists are and what we are supposed
to believe. Chances are almost everything
you have heard is nonsense. Many people seem to
think that we anarchists believe in violence, chaos,
and destruction, that we are against all forms of
order and organisation, that we are crazed nihilists
who just want to blow everything up. In reality, nothing
could be further from the truth. We are simply
people who believe human beings are capable of
behaving in a reasonable way without having to be
forced to. It is really a very simple idea. But it’s one
that the rich and powerful have always found
extremely dangerous.
At their very simplest, anarchist beliefs turn on
to two basic ideas. The first is that human beings
are, under ordinary circumstances, about as reasonable
and decent as they are allowed to be, and
can organise themselves and their communities
without needing to be told how. The second is that
power corrupts. Most of all, anarchism is just a matter
of having the courage to take the simple principles
of common decency that most of us live by, and
to follow them through to their logical conclusions.
Odd though this may seem, in many important
ways, you are probably already an anarchist -you
just don’t realise it. Let’s start by taking a few examples
from everyday life:
* If there’s a line to get on a crowded bus, do you
wait your turn and not elbow your way past others
even if there aren’t any police around?
If you answered “yes”, then you are used to acting
like an anarchist! The most basic anarchist
principle is self-organisation: the assumption that
human beings do not need to be threatened with
arrest in order to be able to come to reasonable
understandings with each other, or to treat each
other with dignity and respect.
Everyone believes they are capable of behaving
reasonably themselves. If they think laws and
police are necessary, it is only because they don’t
believe that other people are. But if you think about
it, don’t those people all feel exactly the same way
about you? Anarchists argue that almost all the
anti-social behavior which makes us think it’s necessary
to have armies, police, prisons, and governments
to control our lives, is actually caused by the
systematic inequalities and injustice those armies,
police, prisons and governments make possible.
It’s all a vicious circle.
If people are used to being
treated like their opinions do not matter, they are
likely to become angry and cynical, even violent -
which of course makes it easy for those in power to
say that their opinions do not matter. Once they
understand that their opinions really do matter just
as much as anyone else’s, they tend to become
remarkably understanding. To cut a long story
short: anarchists believe that for the most part it is
power itself, and the effects of power, that make
people stupid and irresponsible.
* Are you a member of a club or sports team or any
other voluntary organisation where decisions are
not imposed by one leader but made on the basis of
general consent?
If you answered “yes”, then you belong to an
organisation which works on anarchist principles!
Another basic anarchist principle is voluntary association.
This is simply a matter of applying democratic
principles to ordinary life. The only difference
is that anarchists believe it is possible to have a
society in which everything is organised along these
lines, all groups based on the free consent of their
members, and therefore, that all top-down, military
styles of organisation like armies or bureaucracies
or large corporations, based on chains of command,
would no longer be necessary. Perhaps you
don’t believe that would be possible. Perhaps you
do.
But every time you reach an agreement by consensus,
rather than threats, every time you make a
voluntary arrangement with another person, come
to an understanding, or reach a compromise by taking
due consideration of other’s particular situation
or needs, you are being an anarchist - even if you
don’t realise it.
Anarchism is just the way people act when they
are free to do as they choose, and when they deal
with others who are equally free - and, therefore
aware of the responsibility to others this entails.
This leads to another crucial point: that while people
can be reasonable and considerate when they are
dealing with equals, human nature is such that they
cannot be trusted to do so when given power over
others. Give someone such power, they will almost
always abuse it in some way or another.
* Do you believe that most politicians are selfish,
egotistical swine who don’t really care about the
public interest? Do you think we live in an economic
system that is stupid and unfair?
If you answered “yes”, then you subscribe to the
anarchist critique of today’s society - at least, in its
broadest outlines. We Anarchists believe that
power corrupts and those who spend their entire
lives seeking power are the very last people who
should have it. We believe that our present economic
system is more likely to reward people for
selfish and dishonest behavior than for being
decent, caring human beings. Most people feel that
way.
The only difference is that most people don’t
think there’s anything that can be done about it, or
at least - and this is what the faithful servants of the
powerful are always most likely to insist on - anything
that won’t end up making things even worse.
But what if that weren’t true?
Is there really any reason to believe this? When
you can actually test them, most of the usual predictions
about what would happen without states or
capitalism turn out to be entirely untrue. For thousands
of years people lived without governments.
In many parts of the world people live outside of the
control of governments today. They do not all kill
each other.
Mostly they just get on with their lives
the same as anyone else would. Of course, in a
complex, urban, technological society all this would
be more complicated: but technology can also
make all these problems a lot easier to solve. In
fact, we have not even begun to think about what
our lives could be like if technology were really used
to benefit us all. How many hours would we really
need to work in order to maintain a functional society
- that is, if we got rid of all the useless or
destructive occupations like telemarketers, lawyers,
prison guards, financial analysts, public relations
experts, bureaucrats and politicians, and turn our
best scientific minds away from working on space
weaponry or stock market systems to mechanising
away dangerous or annoying tasks like coal mining
or cleaning the bathroom, and distribute the remaining
work among everyone equally? Five hours a
day? Four? Three? Two? Nobody knows because
no one is even asking this kind of question.
Anarchists think these are the very questions we
should be asking.
* Do you really believe those things you tell your
children (or that your parents told you)?
“It doesn’t matter who started it.” “Two wrongs
don’t make a right.” “Clean up your own mess.”
“Do unto others…” “Don’t be mean to people just
because they’re different.” Perhaps we should
decide whether we’re lying to our children when we
tell them about right and wrong, or whether we’re
willing to take our own injunctions seriously,
because if you take these moral principles to their
logical conclusions, you arrive at anarchism.
Take the principle that two wrongs don’t make a
knock away almost the entire basis for war and the
criminal justice system. The same goes for sharing:
we’re always telling children that they have to learn
to share, to be considerate of each other’s needs, to
help each other; then we go off into the real world
where we assume that everyone is naturally selfish
and competitive. But an anarchist would point out:
in fact, what we say to our children is right. Pretty
much every great worthwhile achievement in
human history, every discovery or accomplishment
that’s improved our lives, has been based on cooperation
and mutual aid; even now, most of us
spend more of our money on our friends and families
than on ourselves; while likely as not there will
always be competitive people in the world, there’s
no reason why society has to be based on encouraging
such behavior, let alone making people compete
over the basic necessities of life. That only
serves the interests of people in power, who want
us to live in fear of one another. That’s why anarchists
call for a society based not only on free association
but mutual aid. The fact is that most children
grow up believing in anarchist morality, and then
gradually have to realise that the adult world doesn’t
really work that way.
That’s why so many
become rebellious, or alienated, even suicidal as
adolescents, and finally, resigned and bitter as
adults; their only solace, often, being the ability to
raise children of their own and pretend to them that
the world is fair. But what if we really could start to
build a world that was at least founded on principles
of justice? Wouldn’t that be the greatest gift to our
children we could possibly give them?
* Do you believe that human beings are fundamentally
corrupt and evil, or that certain sorts of people
(women, people with different skin colour, ordinary
people who are not rich or highly educated) are inferior
specimens, destined to be ruled by their betters?
If you answered “yes”, then, well, it looks like
you aren’t an anarchist after all. But if you
answered “no’, then chances are you already subscribe
to 90% of anarchist principles, and, likely as
not, are living your life largely in accord with them.
Every time you treat another human with consideration
and respect, you are being an anarchist.
Every time you work out your differences with others
by coming to reasonable compromise, listening
to what everyone has to say rather than letting one
person decide for everyone else, you are being an
anarchist. Every time you have the opportunity to
force someone to do something, but decide to
appeal to their sense of reason or justice instead,
you are being an anarchist. The same goes for
every time you share something with a friend, or
decide who is going to do the dishes, or do anything
at all with an eye to fairness.
Now, you might object that all this is well and
good as a way for small groups of people to get on
with each other, but managing a city, or a country, is
an entirely different matter. And of course there is
something to this. Even if you decentralise society
and put as much power as possible in the hands of
small communities, there will still be plenty of things
that need to be co-ordinated, from running railroads
to deciding on directions for medical research. But
just because something is complicated does not
mean there is no way to do it democratically.
It would just be complicated. In fact, anarchists have
all sorts of different ideas and visions about how a
complex society might manage itself. To explain
them though would go far beyond the scope of a little
introductory text like this. All we can say is that
a lot of people have spent a lot of time coming up
with models for how a really democratic, healthy
society might work; but second, and just as importantly,
no anarchist claims to have a perfect blueprint.
The last thing we want is to impose prefab
models on society anyway. The truth is we probably
can’t even imagine half the problems that will
come up when we try to create a democratic society;
still, we’re confident that, human ingenuity being
what it is, such problems can always be solved, so
long as it is in the spirit of our basic principles -
which are, in the final analysis, simply the principles
of fundamental human decency.
In New York it is Illegal to wear a mask. This is an issue if you are at a protest and need to wear a gas mask or bandanna to protect your face from gas or smoke. The cops can use it as an excuse to arrest you.

“In 1845, the State of New York passed a law which forbade the wearing of masks. It authorized the pursuit and arrest of anyone who “having his face painted, discolored, covered or concealed, or being otherwise disguised, in a manner calculated to prevent him from being identified, shall appear in any road or public highway, or in any field, lot, wood, or enclosure.” It was originally adopted to thwart armed insurrections by Hudson Valley tenant farmers who dressed and painted themselves as Native Americans to attack law enforcement officers over rent issues. The law was then shelved for most of the 20th Century until 1965, when it was used to criminalize transvestites and drag queens who wore too much make-up for the authorities to bear.
More recently, the law has resurfaced in two contexts: At a KKK rally in 2001 and during the large-scale protests of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in January 2002… (read more)”

but…. don’t worry, the police won’t arrest, or cite you unless they feel like it.. that is how the police work. they have the laws in their favor, if they want to harass you , they will. it’s called “selective enforcement”. if it’s for a social/political protest, the mask law becomes a good pretext to go after protesters. if you are wearing masks for a halloween party, then the police won’t do anything.

Breathing in tear gas, or getting it in your eyes, is not fun. This, obviously, is the whole point. But there are things you can do to mitigate the effectiveness of tear gas, and allow you to keep on fighting the good fight.
The first thing to remember about tear gas is that it is primarily a fear weapon. Yes, the gas hurts. But the fear caused by tear gas grenades is a much more effective means of crowd dispersal than the gas itself. So rule number one is to calm down.
Tear gas is most often delivered to its target in the form of grenades. These fit onto the end of gas guns and are fired with blank shotgun cartridges. So, when tear gas is being used you will hear gunshots. Don’t worry: you’re not being shot at.
After you hear a shot, look up. The grenade will be arcing toward its destination trailing white smoke. If the grenade is not headed directly at you, there is no reason to move. So don’t move just yet. Warn people that there is a grenade incoming, and figure out where it will land. If it is headed toward you, you may want to prepare to hold your breath by briefly hyperventilating.
The grenade will explode. This usually happens while it is in the air, but not always. Again, this can be scary until you get used to it. After the explosion, a small gas emitter remains. It is metal and about the size of a hockey puck. It will be hissing and spewing out tear gas.
The wind is your friend. Move upwind of the gas. This will blow the majority of the gas away from you. Do not panic. Do not run. Panic is precisely what the police are trying to create.
If you have gloves and something to protect your face (which I’ll talk about soon), you can pick up the gas emitter and lob it back at the police. This is a considerate thing to do to protect your fellow protesters. The emitter will be hot, so gloves are recommended. Remember, the police are thoroughly protected against gas; throwing it back at them is not a violent act.
WARNING:Picking up the gas emitter will ensure that your clothing is saturated with tear gas. This is extremely unpleasant and will require very thorough laundering with harsh detergent. Prevent contact between gassy clothes and your face, as the chemical agents are active even days later.
WARNING:Do not pick up a grenade which has not exploded. You can be injured if/when it goes off in your hand. Some are, of course, duds. But it is not safe to assume that unexploded grenade at your feet is a dud.
Assuming you don’t have a gas mask (which is essential for prolonged operation in a tear-gassy environment), a bandanna or other cloth which has been soaked in vinegar or lemon juice will allow you to breathe long enough to escape the gas. Mask up! Cider vinegar is less harsh-smelling and is recommended. Breathing in vinegar is not pleasant, but compared to tear gas it’s like fresh air. Unfortunately, the vinegar’s protective effect does not last long (minutes), and your bandanna will be saturated with gas afterward. So bring several. Retying a gassy bandanna around your face is not a good idea. Make sure the bandanna fits tightly around your nose and mouth.
You must wear goggles. Goggles which are air tight. It is one thing to have severe upper respiratory pain. It is another to have that and also have burning, watering eyes.
Two important notes here (and thanks to cbustapeck for reminding me): Firstly DO NOT wear contact lenses to any event where there is even a possibility of tear gas usage. The contacts will trap the gas against your eyes which, aside from being hideously painful, will eventually damage your cornea. Secondly, many places have, or have recently enacted, laws against wearing masks. In some southern states these laws were implemented to defeat the Ku Klux Klan; these days they’re more likely specifically aimed at dissenters who don’t wish to have their faces filed away by the FBI. So, be aware that wearing a gas mask or a bandanna may be, in itself, illegal. Yes, protecting yourself from police violence, even passively, can get you thrown in jail.
My description of what tear gas feels like is this: it feels as if the inside of your head is being dissolved by acid. There is a burning pain and a liquefying feeling as mucous, tears and saliva all begin flowing.
Spit, blow your nose, rinse out your mouth, gargle. If necessary, do an eyewash by squirting water across your eye from the inside to the outside with your head tilted to the side.
WARNING: You should really get a brief training before you do this. Contact your local activist organization. Also, the eyewash procedure for pepper spray is different.
Different people react differently to the gas. I’ve seen totally unprotected people go up against cops and gas for hours by sheer force of will. However, don’t expect that you will be able to. You may be pleasantly surprised, though.
Finally, diffuse tear gas lingers in the air for a long time. Expect eye, nose and throat irritation for several hours after tear gas has been used in an area, especially if the use of gas was extremely liberal (as in Quebec City). Chok-Dee
It is easy to forget that Columbus won. And because of this, history is written by him and in his favor. If the Nazis had won then the world would know Hitler as the man who brought dignity and purity to the human race. The Death camps would either not be known at all or be remembered as places that held rabid criminals away from the god faring population.
But despite the ignorant historical whitewashing of Columbus’ bloody hands, it is abundantly clear that he was a savage and his legacy continues to this day. Indians continue to be raped by society. Take a look around today on Columbus day and see if you can find an Indian’s voice. You’ll be hard pressed.
Today is a day for the victors to beat their chests loudly and use the warped logic that because they remain standing they are justified in their acts of beating the “foe” to their deaths.
It is an animalistic logic, worthy of savage and primitive people.

The number one concept of Anarchy is that “Power Corrupts.” If you read the anarchist principles they are very sane and gentle, but that is another story.
We have given too much power to our government and Bushit has gotten a hold of even more. They pull the strings like never before.
A couple weeks ago I posted about how a large group of soldiers were taken out of Iraq and shipped back to the US. Speculation was they were for enforcing martial law if need be.
But who knows? Maybe it was simply to tell lawmakers that martial law was iminent if they did not approve the $700 Billion slush fund for Bushit and his shitbags.
Now they have pillaged our economy even more with our supposed signed approval.
Here is stuff taken directly from my main source of info, Brasscheck.com:
Do you wonder how the Wall Street Welfare plan
(aka the bailout plan) ever passed Congress.
In most Congressional offices opposition
by voters ran 10 to 20 to 1 AGAINST it.
And for good reason.
The bailout is a total and complete fraud.
It does nothing to solve the root problem which
is a severe crisis of confidence in the banking
industry.
Instead it gives George Bush dictatorial powers,
through his Secretary Treasury, over three
quarters of a TRILLION dollars in tax payer
money.
(Part of the bill gave Bush $100 billion in
his own personal discretionary fund.)
The banking crisis is real, but there was
a much simple, cheaper solution.
Go behind the scenes and hear about the
fraud, bribery and even threats of violence
that were used get this corrupt piece of
legislation passed…
Legislation which never had a public hearing
and likely no one who voted “yes” for it ever
read.
There was a simple solution the banking crisis:
Guarantee ALL normal banking deposits. That’s what European countries are doing.
With bank deposit guarantees, individuals and real businesses would have access to their money and to normal credit.
But the White House took a different path…
A multi-trillion dollar “no string attached” checkbook controlled by the White House through the Treasury Department to buy the toxic assets of Wall Street and other reckless investors.
Who will pay?
The US tax payers who are footing the bill.
Who will benefit?
Wall Street CEOs and their deep pocket clients and members of the Bush regime.
What will the US do in the future when it needs money to prepair crumbling infrastructure, take care of public health, and deal with natural and man made catastrophes?
The answer will to all these problems will be simple and consistent: We have no money.
How did this insane legislation get passed?
Congressman Brad Sherman lays it out:
* fraud (fake phone calls from paid stooges in support of the bill),
* bribery (hundreds of pages of pork added to the bill by the Senate at the last minute), and
* threats of violence (the claim that without the bailout martial law was a certainty.)

For those of you living in Canada and Australia, I suppose you think you live in self governing countries. Think again, your governments are puppet nations jumping to the tune of a boss who has very little interest in your well being.
When the powers that be (fuck if I know who they really are) decided to invade Iraq back in 2003, it sent out memo’s to its various puppet leaders.
Below you will see the puppet leaders reading out the memo, WORD FOR WORD.
Both Canadian and Australian “heads of state” got the same memo, verbatim.
