The Government Doesn’t Support Our Troops

October 5th, 2008 Gennaro Brooks-Church

i don’t support the US troops. I never have. I don’t even know what that means.

Does it mean I need to say positive things about what they are doing?
Does it mean I need to be friendly to them when I see them?

What does it mean to support the troops?????

What kind of support? Financial? Emotional?

I just don’t get it.

I never liked what they do in the world. I don’t like their leaders.

The only compassion I have for the troops is that they are mostly poor uneducated people who have very few options. And getting them to join the army is a huge scam to use them as bullet bait until they become useless, at which point they are spit out the other end.

Here is a memorable quote from the video below (paraphrased):
Of the $4 Billion US spent on Iraq PER MONTH only 2.5 could be accounted for…..

The rest well, I have no idea where it went. But it certainly wasn’t looted by the soldiers.

Why are private companies being paid outrageous amounts of money to do things that since the begining of time have traditionally been done by soldiers? Things like, cooking, housing, etc. which soldiers could do on an astronomically lower budget?

Why are these companies closely tied to Prick Cheney?

Why the fuck has nobody done anything about this?????
I mean I know that sounds stupid, but are all the people in power so powerless or so corrupt???

Bottom line - the soldiers, despite my lack of support for their sorry assess, are the worst losers out of all of this. Well, the mostly brown dusty people who speak strange languages that the US soldiers kill get screwed more, but the soldiers get screwed pretty badly nonetheless. They are pulled in by propaganda and spit out into anonymity on the other end. If they are lucky they just have psychological scars, but a lost limb or two is common….

The Power of Conformity

August 21st, 2008 Gennaro Brooks-Church

From BrassCheck.tv, my main source of news and reality.

Candid Camera was a popular television program in the US in the 1960s.

The program used the classic methodology of naturalistic experiments in social psychology as the source of its humorous scenarios.

The resulting programs were not only entertaining, but also potentially instructive.

For example, how independent is the average person when confronted with the all-powerful “consensus of the group?”

Not very.

Creating a consensus quickly is the goal of every “shock and awe” propagandist.

That’s why it’s often true that “a lie makes it half way around the world before the truth gets its pants on.”

Professional liars have their stories worked out well in advance and then pump them out hard and fast long before thoughtful, honest analysts have the chance to ask even the first question.

Once the consensus is pointing in one direction, it becomes very difficult to take, hold and promote a contrary point of view, even if that point of view is accurate and the consensus is completely false.

That’s why I believe it’s prudent to assume that ANYTHING you “know” that is consensus-based and was produced and is continuously supported by the so called “mainstream” news media (news, PR and/or propaganda) is probably the product of a calculated attempt to mislead.

As a simple rule of thub, the proper response to ANYTHING that makes its way to the network news and the front pages of major newspapers is to ask yourself two questions: “Who’s propaganda is this?” and “What facts are they withholding and skewing in a calculated attempt to mislead me?”

The most important skill in the propagandist’s bag of tricks
is controlling where you place your attention. In magic, it’s called “misdirection.” In politics, it’s called controlling the agenda.

Have fun with this short experiment in the art of misdirection. Don’t be too smug if you see it since you’ve been amply warned. Ask yourself if you would have seen it if you hadn’t been warned…

Georgia and Russia War Aug 2008

August 17th, 2008 Gennaro Brooks-Church

How do you know if George Bush is lying? He is talking.
I found it interesting when George Bush spoke out against the “Russian invasion” of Georgia. I almost forgot that George Bush has no interest in humanity and almost thought that he was genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of the small country of Georgia.

My one mainstream news source, the NPR radio, kept quoting Bush and saying all sorts of sympathetic things about Georgia. Hand in hand, NPR Radio and George Bush portrayed an image of the big bad Russian aggressor attacking the helpless little Georgian country.

I thought, well, I guess Bush has a humanistic side after all…..NOT. He is a liar and manipulator of basic human goodness, in this case calling on our underdog instincts to support Georgia and see Russia as a big meanie.

It is so easy for humans to forget that every conflict involves grown people. Intelligent people. Even the most depraved group has thinking and feeling humans. And the flip side is true as well. Every group of people contains at least a handful of complete genocidal maniacs.

Just like we all contain a wide spectrum of emotions inside us that can make us saints or sinners, a group has a wide range of people that can turn the group into a constructive or destructive force.

We so easily fall into the trap of taking sides, elevating one side and debasing the other. All of a sudden Georgia is good and Russia is bad. I’ve lived in both countries. Neither is better or worse. They are both murderers. They are both good. They are both human.

Yet knowingly or not politicians like Bush use our bipolar black and white reactionism to maniupulate us. Russia Bad. Georgia good. Uh, ok. And before you know it we are condoning all sorts of stupid actions. What’s next? A nuclear stand off between us and Russia. Hmmm……sounds like a great money making opportunity for nuclear weapons makers…….

George bush does not open his mouth unless one of his connections stands to benefit from it financially. Georgia is a key military and economic strategic place controlled by the US and acts as a constant pesky thorn in Russia’s ass. The US is constantly pissing on Russia’s leg via their involvement in Georgia. Any country would want Georgia out of the way.

Don’t let the propaganda fool you into thinking poor old Georgia is helpless and innocent. It may be, but not because of Georgia….but because of the US. It is being used and abused by two superpowers. Georgia may be the good guys, but that does not make Russia the bad guys. I think we need to look closer to home before we start accusing Russia of bullying Georgia.

I came across this interview with Gorbachev which shows the views of Russia. I give credit to Larry King for showing it.

White house feeds propaganda to Fox News

July 29th, 2008 Gennaro Brooks-Church

This video shows a Bush turncoat revealing how the Bush administration fed Fox news exactly what kind of news to air. Duh. I watched Fox news for five minutes a couple years ago before I decided it would be more fun to rub my face in dog shit.
